Acute bronchiolitis is the most common lower respiratory tract infection in the first year of life, and is generally defined as a self-limiting clinical syndrome, commonly associated with respiratory syncytial virus infection. While the treatment has largely been supportive, including supplemental oxygen and adequate hydration, the use of bronchodilator therapy or other medical treatments remains controversial. There is still insufficient evidence to support the routine use of these drugs in both inpatient and outpatient management. In this review, medical management of acute bronchiolitis according to the available evidence-based data is summarized. Anahtar Kelimeler : Akut bronşiyolit, respiratuar sinsityal virus, bronkodilatör tedavi, Acute bronchiolitis, respiratory syncytial virus, bronchodilator therapy
