The diagnosis of septic arthritis can be delayed because of its rarity and nonspecific symptoms in neonatal period. Empirical antibiotic regimen is started in reference to common etiologic agents. Gram positive bacteria are commonly seen in all age groups with septic arthritis but especially in neonates who had risk factors, gram negative bacteria should be considered. In case of delayed diagnosis or inappropriate antibiotic therapy, there is an increased risk for sequel. In this article, a newborn infant with septic arthritis due to Klebsiella pneumonia is presented. Anahtar Kelimeler : newborn, septic arthritis, Klebsiella pneumonia
