Although many bacteria and fungi may cause respiratory tract infections, it is known that viral respiratory tract infections have greater role in causing disease as they are more commonly observed. In recent years, many viruses causing respiratory tract infections have been discovered. In this review, wefocus on several of these newly identified pathogens for which there are clinical data implicating a role of these viruses in respiratory tract disease, specifically human metapneumovirus, human coronaviruses (NL63 and HKU1), the human bocavirus, adenovirus (AD14), avian influenza virus, and swine influenza virus and Hendra and Nipah viruses. Anahtar Kelimeler : solunum yolları, yeni virüsler, metapnömovirüs, koronavirüs, bokavirüs, avian influenza virüs, domuz influenza virüs, Hendra virüs, Nipah virüs.
